The membership criteria is defined in the constitutuion as,

Membership of the Association shall be restricted to persons residing within a roughly drawn geographical triangle extending between the north side of the Cromarty Firth Bridge to the south, Oykel Bridge to the West and the Mound, East Sutherland to the north.
