has anyone caught any descent sized sea trout latley i have had one or two but very small?

Yes. A healthy 4lb 2oz.............. Lovely fish with only two passengers. I'll post a pic when I figure out how to.
Caught on a fly: Silver body, black wing and blue collar tied on a size six low water wilson double.
Plenty seatrout about.

Had one at the Scap this morning just over 1lb with 23 sea lice on it.

That's interesting............. my fish had only two......... where do the fish start to pick up the lice ? Would the fact that Pauls fish was caught further up mean that it would pick up more lice on the way from below the bridge to the Scap ?

It should be the other way around! Fish start to lose the lice when they enter fresh water and upstream of Inveran the Kyle loses its salt content. That is a worrying amount of lice. Paul was your fish thin or generally in good shape?
