Can anyone tell me if the Sea Trout season is finished or is there a reasonable expectation of a fish or two in September?

A very large number of sea trout ran the rivers in July-August, but in my experience there are usually a few which don't run till late - or at all, although some bright fish can still be quite gravid and are best returned
